Under our state-based approach, CEN and our 21 state member organizations advocate for and educate policymakers and the public about the strong economic, conservation, and national security benefits of clean, renewable energy and energy efficiency. We are leading the national conservative clean energy movement, approaching energy solutions with free-market principles, fighting for property rights, empowering ratepayers, promoting healthy competition and technological innovation, fostering job growth, and encouraging energy diversification and independence—all while demonstrating that what’s good for our economy can also be good for our environment.
